Seasons are changing again despite the stretch of 90 degree temperatures. Looking at the calendar, our holiday season is just around the corner. Now is the time to access your dining room and see if you can really accommodate your family this year. We currently have everything from a large rectangular glass table with traditional chairs to a smaller mahogany traditional table and chairs on our showroom floor.

Asian Inspired Accessories

Reba selects only the finest furniture and accessories for consignment in her store. As a result, she will have many unique accessories at various times in the store. Currently, she has a collection of Asian inspired pieces to accent your home’s décor. Shown on the left side is a beautiful brass vase with a hand painted Asian motif. The vase is about 2.5 feet in height, a perfect size for an accent piece on your coffee table, fireplace or entry table.
 
Another colorful accent piece is this red and gold storage trunk. It is made to look like a real steamer trunk, but actually features doors on the front that open into a two-shelf storage compartment. It could serve as storage for your living room, kitchen or bedroom. It is about 3 ft in width, 2.5 feet tall and 18’ deep. What are your plans for the 4th this year? One thing is for certain, Americans know how to celebrate their independence! You will most likely be doing something special whether watching a parade, fireworks or just having a backdoor barbeque with your friends. We are a patriotic country and love to celebrate with our family and friends. Very few stores these days tend to carry the quality furniture that was mainstream 20 years ago. On close inspection, it is rare to see all wooden pieces with tongue and grove construction or an upholstered piece with 8-way hand-tied workmanship. Furniture tends to be mass produced these days and may feature substitutions like particle board with a laminate finish. Be sure to closely inspect that great 4th of July price on a bedroom suite. Memorial Day Wishes

This year at Estates Etcetera, we will be spending the day celebrating with our family and friends. The store will be closed on Monday however will be maintaining normal business hours for the remainder of the week. Are you having friends over to your home for the holidays? You can visit the store before Memorial Day to pick up those items that will enhance your home's furnishings.

Lights On!

It’s lights on at Estates Etcetera this spring. Rarely have we run across such a collection of pristine real crystal lamps. For those of you that don’t know me, I have been an interior designer for the last 30 years in the DFW area. As a designer myself, I know firsthand it can be challenging to come up with items that work for some of your more discriminating clients, particularly if they are on a tight budget. At Estates Etcetera, we only consign upscale furniture in excellent condition. As you know, a quality piece of furniture is built to last through several lifetimes and never goes out of style.

Upgrade Your Patio

Spring has officially arrived and we are ready! Several new outdoor furniture items have arrived at Estates Etcetera over the last couple of weeks. We just got a beautiful ornate iron patio set with four chairs and a large étagère. The table top is a rectangular piece of glass. This lovely addition to your patio is made to last a lifetime! Detachable cushions are included for easy maintenance of your patio space during weather.

We also have several pieces of outdoor wicker furniture. With their bright colors and easy-care fabrics they are sure to please your guests. We have a loveseat, coffee table and chair in a dark colored wicker that would make a great conversation area on a patio. The large white cushions are designed to be pulled inside during inclement weather. Paired with bright flower pillows they beckon the spring flowers in your garden.
